What do you offer?
We are offering a rolling programme of eight-week internships, aimed at undergraduates and graduates who are interested in a career in PR and communications. During your time as an intern, you will be given exposure to different aspects of our work and have the opportunity to apply the skills you have learnt at university in a work setting.
You will also have the opportunity to take part in our company-wide training programme.
What are you looking for?
There’s a lot of truth in the cliché that people buy people and this is particularly true in the PR industry. For this reason, we are looking for confident, likeable and outgoing individuals who can get on with a wide variety of people and understand the importance of working well as part of a team.
You will need to have a passion for communication (after all, that’s what we are all about) and demonstrate a real flair for writing for different audiences.
Communications is a challenging industry to be a part of, so we expect tenacity and resilience from our interns and the creativity to come at a problem from a different angle when the first approach doesn’t work.
Last but by no means least, you must demonstrate intellectual rigour. Our interns will have strong ‘A’ levels and an A grade or better in GCSE English (or equivalent) and will have, (or be on course for), a 2:1 degree classification.
What will I do on the intern scheme?
There is so much variety, however to give you an idea, you can expect to:
- undertake research projects;
- produce high quality written work, including press releases and reports;
- engage in media monitoring and preparing coverage reports;
- assist with event management, including the efficient planning and organisation of events, both internally and for our clients;
- learn how to brainstorm and develop creative ideas; and
- understand how to work as a valued member of a team.
