The ticket company StubHub tasked us with supporting them through the government’s independent review of the secondary ticketing industry, the Waterson Review.
We delivered a programme that built good relationships with Ministers & Special Advisers
The review was taking place in the face of opposition from the well-coordinated, well-funded, and incredibly well-connected live music industry.
We delivered a stakeholder engagement programme that built good working relationships with Ministers and Special Advisers across government as well as with MPs and Peers. We also positioned StubHub as a key part of the UK’s burgeoning sharing economy and as thoughtful and constructive contributors to the debate.
Our efforts resulted in the successful outlawing of ‘bots’, something StubHub has long campaign for, and neutralised calls from the live music industry to outlaw the secondary ticket market.
